The programme will commence with an opening session at 6 pm following opening words of welcome we will listen to the Ronald Grieve Lecture, this year given by Matt Ridley, celebrated journalist and author of several works of popular science including The Red Queen: Sex and the Evolution of Human Nature: Francis Crick: Discoverer of the Genetic Code. His most recent major work was the Rational Optimist, a defence of the sustainability of our planet in spite of climate change and population growth
This will be followed by local entertainment and the President’s Buffet Reception in the L’Orangerie.

The Business Programme of the conference will run throughout the day, delegates will be free to explore Buenos Aires in the evening at their leisure, facilitated by our conference staff.

Following a half-day business programme and lunch, we will be inviting all delegates and partners to visit an ‘Estancia’ just outside Buenos Aires, here they will be exposed to aspects of Argentine culture including an asado (spit roast) and the famous Gaucho horsemanship skills.
Wednesday 21 March 2012
Following a full-day business programme and discussion, we will invite all delegates and partners to a Gala Dinner in magnificent surroundings. This will mark the end of the formal proceedings of the conference.
