Tom Sackville was born in London and educated at Oxford and Madrid University before starting a career in financial services in New York. In 1983 he became a Member of Parliament, later serving in Margaret Thatcher’s and subsequent administrations as Whip and Health Minister. He took up his present role in 1998, since when the iFHP has grown in membership and the scope of its educational and other activities. Tom was for some years as President of FECRIS, a French based European federation of support organisations for families who have lost members to pseudo-religious cults: he has also served on the boards of various healthcare enterprises. He is married with two children and lives in London and Greece.
Andrea manages the membership proposition at the iFHP including member communications and engagement, event support, coordination of the Executive Development Programme and is the iFHP financial lead. Andrea is a highly experienced health care manager with many years of working at Board level in both the State and private health sectors. Andrea works Part Time with the iFHP and also works as Director of Service Development with a large London NHS hospital Trust /Integrated Care Organisation.
Nicola has worked in events and communications across numerous sectors for 20 years, including natural resources, defence and pharma before joining the iFHP in June 2015. Having worked globally for large organisations previously she has a deep understanding of the importance of communications internally and externally and facilitating this for our members. Her primary role at the iFHP is management of the Expert Panels and associated projects from these Panels. When not at work Nicola enjoys running, travelling and is currently in training for the 2018 London Marathon.
The iFHP is governed by a Council of Management of up to 20 CEOs of member companies. This body meets twice a year and determines overall policy and direction. The Current chairperson is Willem van Duin, elected in January 2019.
